Known for experimental and typographic excellence, Spin has developed three fonts for F37×.
F37 Gothica is visually striking and prickly to the touch. Constructed like an ornate cast iron fence, the serifed bars interact and combine in mesmerising ways. The letter forms allude to blackletter, but are lighter, spacious and more mechanical. This can be seen perfectly in the ’t’. As the crossbars interact, a beautifully light counter form is created. Another unique feature of the font is the lack of diagonals throughout the character set. This makes the overall texture of F37 Gothica repetitive and smooth. Included in the font is an additional Stylistic Set that is even more serifed than the standard set.

The Designer
SPIN is the creative output of a London-based studio which has been rotating between the poles of art and design since 1992.
This revolution has so far been televised, animated, printed, photographed, pixelated and painted, but rather than offer singular or static solutions, their vision is for an ongoing dialogue between a conceptual practice and its many applications in the real world. In both the virtual and physical realms, SPIN push and play with such boundaries when making work for the halls of commerce and retail, or for the walls of exhibitions. Always innovative and responsive, but constantly enquiring, SPIN create organic visual languages, lending design impetus to their art projects, while removing the type from typography and giving it a new face.
