Rated by Netflix as India’s fastest fibre broadband provider, Spectra is a ten-year-old 21st-century company. Its young, ambitious leaders are forging India’s future, doing things that have never been done before.

The Brief

In their ambition to innovate broadband services in a competitive market, Spectra approached Dubai-based branding agency Ochre for a rebrand. The new design needed to be functional and stylish. It also needed to embody the disruptive spirit of the company.

    It became clear that an iconic typeface should not only form the basis of a system but take centre stage, so that the Spectra brand could stand out and speak to customers in a recognisable, bold and singular way. Something that India has not seen before.

    Ochre approached us to create a bespoke display typeface that we could exclusively licence to Spectra. Together, we created a custom-made, iconic, geometric typeface that was applied across various touchpoints.

    The font articulates an attitude, confidence and irreverence of the brand and its community. It's unapologetically playful.
